It is believed that this is due to little knowledge of their habitat, feeding and breeding preferences in the wild. We spent 5 years developing this mix, and it has made a world of difference in our birds…. our pets, our show birds and our breeding pairs alike.

We offer a couple tablespoons per bird daily, as well as a bowl of our Bird Salad so our birds can “self-medicate” and stave off minor illnesses and ailments (not intended to replace vet care), a teaspoon of bee pollen, and rotate daily in a “surprise bowl” between oat groats, hemp, sprouts, fresh chop, or a cooked mash. This keeps them from boredom of their “caged bird diet” and makes sure they are getting the nutrition they need to thrive. Nothing feels better than that!
